Fun and easy to understand book that teaches coding. Great for all ages!

I received this book for free from the publisher in return for a review. The following is my honest opinion on this book:

'Get Coding' is an excellent book for anybody interested in learning the basics of programming. The same width as an A4 book and almost square in shape it's quite big at 208 pages. With thick glossy pages this feels a little like a school text book, however it's anything but boring. The book is separated into sections teaching you things like how to build a web page, building an app and building a game all using the coding languages of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Now although I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to electronics, I love my computer, my games, taking the pc apart, building a new one, etc but I have to honestly say I don't know much coding language. This book is very easy to understand though and is set out in a colourful and simple way. The book covers making a simple game and goes through all the stages of what to do step by step so you don't get easily lost. I do know quite a bit of html language and I can say that all that I know is accurately explained in the book so although I haven't tried all the coding and making a game feature yet, I believe the book to be accurate.

What I really like about this book is that although explained from start to finish you can also dip in and out of the book with the handy index. This is great if you are using html or another language on your own web pages and don't want to create that whole app game but want to just use certain info in your own projects.

This is a great book for kids and I think plenty of adults who aren't too knowledgeable in computer coding will enjoy using this book, it's certainly helped me already and from my pictures below you can see the simple and easy way the coding is taught.

Arnold J. Goldman is an attorney with the firm of Goldman and Goldman, in Rochester, New York. In addition to practicing law, he has taught courses in constitutional law at the University of Rochester and has been a guest lecturer in several schools in the Rochester area.

William D. Sigismond is Director of Experiential and Adult Learning and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York. He has taught business law at both the high school and college levels for over 35 years and is a member and past president of the New York State Business Educator's Association, as well as a member of many other professional organizations. A certified arbitrator, he has handled a range of cases for the American Arbitration Association and the Better Business Bureau.

Business law book not good shape

Not in a good shape. Looks like some water damage. Writing in book makes hard to read the sentence it covers. Food pieces on some pages. It will do but could have been in better shape

If you have to buy this for a class, I hope your teacher is really good

I can't believe I had to buy this new edition for the second half of my business law class. Not only were there typos and errors everywhere, some of the actual material was wrong. It is poorly organized, poorly edited and too dumbed down. If this is your assigned book, petition to have a different text selected for your class. Thank goodness I had an excellent professor.

Need it for college class, damn book is expensive !!!! Books is simple and well organized. Questions at the end of chapter is a bit stupid since I ran into questions that are not covered that particular chapter, good thing those are "opinion" questions, and there's always google to get you out of a jam. Soft cover... books are so floppy..... All key terms are defined for you on the side. Makes studying a lot easier.

Must-Read for Visual/Participative Methodologies

Very useful when using Participative Methodologies or analyzing/studying diverse visual objects such as drawings, photographs, videos, films, spaces. I believe Luc Pauwels has become an authority in this topic and should be a must-read on Research Methodologies.

Through an analysis of the politics, society, and economy of Vijayanagara, the author addresses the central question of the extent to which Vijayanagara, as a medieval Hindu kingdom, can be viewed as a prototype of the polities and societies confronted by the British in the late eighteenth century. The book thus presents an understanding and appreciation of one of the great medieval kingdoms of India as well as a more general assessment of the nature of the state, society, and culture on the eve of European colonial rule.

About the Author
Entrepreneur-investor Michael L. F. Slavin is president of U.S. Emerald Energy, an oil and gas exploration company. While his current ventures have brought him personal and financial success, that wasn't always the case. The seven years prior to founding U.S. Emerald in 1992 were Mike's "in-between" years: in-between jobs, in-between businesses, in-between homes, in-between broke and just over broke. During this time, he held various positions as a headhunter, an insurance salesman, a self-employed mergers and acquisitions consultant, and the CEO of a title company. Before going into the private sector, Mike served for ten years in the U.S. Army, first as an infantry officer and then as an aviation officer. He commanded two aviation units, served as an aide to the President of the United States during a state visit, and flew scouting missions over the Korean DMZ. Today, Mike is passionate about giving back to his community and creating and sharing resources that help entrepreneurs succeed. He serves on the board of the charity Justice for Children and writes and speaks about entrepreneurship to a variety of audiences. Mike was raised by his grandparents in St. Joseph, Missouri. They taught him about hard work, thrift, sacrifice, and love. He achieved his childhood dream of entering West Point, graduating with an engineering degree in 1975. He later earned a master's in management from Troy State University. Mike lives in Houston with Won, his wife of over thirty years.

One of the best books I have ever read! Women - read this book! So informative and a great read! I highly recommend this book. I couldn't put it down! I also have read his One Million in the Bank book which is also incredible. I have learned so much from these two books and it has really helped me in my own life success.
